Our Story
In 1922 during a flu pandemic, revival broke out in Lodi under the tent ministry of evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson. More than 1,500 people took a step of faith towards Jesus. As a result, many churches were formed in Lodi, including Bethel Church. As we find ourselves amidst this current pandemic, God is stirring our heart to launch a new church, built on the foundation He set 98 years ago.
The vision for Discover Church emerged out of a 21 day church-wide fast. The mission to see God’s fame grow, and the Gospel reach a new generation, was captured in the hearts of our church. Our prayer is that as God’s story is made known in our community, you would find your place in it. We hope you will experience that church is not a building, but a people called by God. You are invited to you take your next step towards Jesus with us. We will save you a seat.

JESUS IS OUR PURSUIT
We have our eye on Jesus in everything we do. We are pursuing Him.
It is our primary purpose to share the His story of radical grace, extravagant love, and unmatched hope for humanity. We are with no doubt, Jesus people. And we are thrilled to introduce people to the life-giving person of Jesus.

GENEROSITY IS OUR NORMAL
We have received the greatest gift the world has ever known - the love, grace, and mercy of God. All at no cost to us. Freely we have received, so freely we give.
We believe He is a giver, not a taker. Participating, not spectating, is what we see Jesus model. Generosity is not a matter of obligation. It is our worship to God, who has given us far more than we deserve. The size of the gift doesn't matter in God's hands, it's the size of the heart that He cares about.

There are no silos at Discover. We believe in doing ministry in teams and life in groups.
